Karen Sikora Cloud, 64, of Houston, Texas went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2020. She was born in Passaic,NJ, and is the oldest daughter of Victor and Stella Sikora. She was educated at St. Jerome Catholic School and Spring Woods High School. She went on to receive her BS from Park College.
Karen worked for Lewis Brisbois as a legal assistant. Prior to that she worked at Bracewell on a variety of litigation. Karen was actively involved in dog rescue and helped many dogs find forever homes both in person and networking to find them homes. She was a nature lover who spent countless hours walking trails and exploring with her two grandsons. She was an amazing artist volunteered time at the Museum of Fine Arts as a docent when she was able to share her appreciation of art with many. Her passions included painting, gardening and nature.
She leaves behind her mother, Stella Sikora; sister, Cathleen Sikora; brother, Victor Sikora; daughters, Christie Cloud and Vickie Manies and son-in-law, Jason Manies. Karen’s grandchildren, Taten Cloud and Sawyer Manies were the pride and joy of her life. The legacy of Karen’s kind spirit, zest for life, passion for nature and animals will live on through them. She has left a big hole in the hearts of many and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her father Victor Sikora.
There will be a celebration of her life November 15th at 2:00 p.m. at the Houston Audubon Raptor and Education Center located at 3997 River Drive, Houston, Tx 77017.
